Description

FAIRY TALE HUES - Rich, dazzling deep tones including dark greens, plum, and black. Moodily delicious! Due to the high saturation of these shades, colors may release dye. Swatch test first, and steam block only for best results. Use this kit to knit the Alpenbow shawl or the Serene shawl or crochet the Trillium shawl.

YARN: Allure Fingering - 100% Mulberry Silk.

This yarn base is more of a challenge to dye than others, so there will be differences from batch to batch and from the photos. Please only order if you’re okay with variations from the photos shown here. Some skeins may be slightly more saturated or tonal, or the colors may be slightly different than shown. We’ll do our best to match your skeins when shipping your order.

  • A beautiful, luscious drape, dreamy softness, and lovely color saturation!

  • Elegant, puddling drape!
  • 2-ply for durability and lovely structure.
  • Silk takes the dye so beautifully and results in rich, eye-catching shades.
  • Silk is breathable and natural and is ideal for wearing next to your skin in all seasons.
  • Fingering weight: Perfect for shawls and flowing sweaters.
  • Yardage: 218 yds / 200 m per skein (1308 yds / 1200 m per kit)
  • Weight: 1.75 oz / 50 g per skein (10.5 oz / 300 g per kit)
  • Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 0-7 (2.00 mm - 4.50 mm)
  • Recommended Crochet Hook Size: B-G (2.25 mm - 4.25 mm)
  • Hand-wash only, and lay flat to dry.

Note: Each skein is a hand-created, unique work of art and no two skeins will be identical, even within the same dye lot. If working with more than one skein in a project, it is best to alternate skeins every other row. Despite every effort to accurately depict our product colors, actual shades may vary due to differences in monitor settings.
