Notes From the Designer:

•As the winter season draws to an end, the 3-petal trillium begins to bloom amongst the undergrowth of the forest. It’s a signal that a new spring season is ahead, full of life and new beginnings.

•The colors of this shawl suggest the contrasts of the grays of winter with the early signs of spring in the red trillium, the purple crocuses and the deep pink of the redbud trees.

•This crocheted shawl is a modified triangle, beginning at the point and gradually increasing to the wider outer edge. Three bands of color frame bolder flower motifs.

•The majority of the shawl is worked in double crochet, with rows of single crochet in the color bands. A simple single crochet spike stitch adds interest to the stripes.
