When you purchase this listing, you'll receive one skein of our luxurious Alpaca Silk Lace yarn, which is a heavenly blend of 50% baby alpaca and 50% mulberry silk that's warm and soft with a gorgeous drape and a shimmery glow. When you combine alpaca with silk, you get a yarn that is pure luxury and a joy to work with. Although this yarn is a lace-weight yarn, it's more like a light fingering, which makes it easy to knit and crochet with. Each skein includes 604 yds/552 m.

- You will receive one shipment and won't be charged anything further. 

- We are dyeing up a limited number of skeins for these clubs, and they will disappear from the site without notice. It's best not to delay if you want to join this month.

- This month's Insider's Yarn Club theme is Bloom and Burn. July is here and with it the glorious but unrelenting heat of peak summer! I love tending to my garden: watching the plants bud and bloom, harvesting the few tomatoes that have escaped the pests, and gazing adoringly at the pollinators dancing amongst the flowers. The sunshine, the warmth, and the riot of color are a treat for the senses that I anticipate all winter and spring. So much so that it has inspired this month’s club!

However, flowers by nature are transitory; they bloom and then, like all things must, they wither away. And as sad as I am to no longer be able to immerse myself in their rich hues, are they not all the more treasured because of their brief existence? The gifts they gave are not diminished because they did not last more than a season. Even though the most “beautiful” part of the plant may be gone, the rest of the plant may be only resting and biding its time to create something new. Or they may offer of themselves in another way, such as providing seeds for the birds or material for new soil. It is a gentle reminder of the seasons of our own lives and knowing that change does not always mean that the best is behind us. After all, summer always comes again!
