Notes From the Designer:
A reversible design with an easy-to-remember repeating pattern. The small zigzag (chevron) pattern creates a “peaks and valleys” design throughout the scarf/shawl. It also creates a natural progression where the ends flare out. I chose to focus on this aspect in my design and allowed the yarn to do what it wanted when I blocked the finished scarf/shawl.

- The scarf version used 440 yds (402.5 m) total.
- The shawl version used 799 yds (730.5 m) total.
- Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, but will affect the finished size and amount of yarn used.
- Beginning ch DOES NOT count in the stitch count for each row.
- Ch 1 at the start of the row DOES NOT count in the stitch count for each row.
- Pattern is worked back and forth from the bottom up using an easy-to-memorize, repeating pattern.
- When changing colors on the shawl, you can change at the end of the row, or you can work the row until you have a 6 - 8" (15 - 20.5 cm) tail of the previous color and switch to the new color at that point in the row for an organic transition, as shown in the sample here. The last row of the pattern should be a full row.
- This project can be blocked so that the natural waviness of the pattern is more prominent or more subtle. Both ways will affect the project’s width and length, allowing you to customize the size and shape to your preference.
- The pattern width can be adjusted by chaining multiples of 10 + 8.
