Advanced: For the adventurous knitter who loves to tackle something a bit more complicated. Skills/concepts include cables, chart reading, decreasing, and garment sizing.

Notes from the Designer:

In 2014, I received an invitation from Tonya of Rowe's Patterns and Gifts to do some test knitting for her. I gladly accepted, proceeded to test knit several of her sock patterns, and she returned the favor when I began my design journey. My favorite is her Damask sock pattern, and while wearing them recently, it hit me that the stitch pattern would be beautiful in a sweater. I immediately contacted Tonya, asked her permission to design a sweater around her stitch design, she said YES, and my tribute to Damask was born.

Tribute is a bottom up tee with a beautiful central panel flanked by easy, but effective cables. The body is split and then worked flat for front and back. Shoulders are joined with a three-needle bind off, and sleeves are picked up at the armhole and worked down. The finishing touch is a 1 x 1 twisted rib at the hems and neckline.

I love how this community has made it possible to build lasting, supportive friendships even though you may never meet face to face. So, thank you, Tonya, and here's to many, many more years of friendship!
