Notes From the Designer:
Sulam is the Hebrew word for ladder, which seems fitting for a pattern that features a Jacob's Ladder cable. The eight- row pattern repeat is easily memorized and is a great introduction for those new to making cables. Instructions detail how to blend one color into the next.
Originally designed for three colors, this long, rectangular shawl can be worked in just one color for added simplicity, or add more colors for an even longer wrap. If you want to add colors but not length, simply work fewer pattern repeats between color changes.
