Notes from the Designer:
Petal is a bulky knit beanie with the option for either a fitted or slouchy silhouette. Inspired by petals falling in Spring, the pattern texture features a petal-like stitch that is placed more densely at the base of the beanie and gradually scatters as the beanie progresses. Using one skein of Buttery Bulky, this is a quick knit that incorporates enough variation in stitches to maintain your interest while knitting. To make the petal stitches stand out more, try using scrap yarn for the petal rows.
- The sample shown used approximately 95 / 99 yds (87 / 91 m) for the fitted version. More yardage will be required to add a slouch.
- A long-tail tubular CO was used for the sample; however, any stretchy CO will work.
- The brim ribbing should be approximately 1" (2.5 cm) long.
- To work the fitted version, after Round 35 skip to the Crown Shaping section.
