This pattern is designed for use with 5 skeins total of our Dk and Worsted Weight yarns. You can mix and match as you see fit. Choose any combination of Dk or Worsted weight skeins.
For the sample, I used one skein each:
Zephyr Dewy Dk 250 yards (Color A)
Emerald Isle Pearlescent Worsted 220 yards (Color B)
Laguna Pearlescent Worsted 220 yards (Color C)
New York at Night Pearlescent Worsted 220 yards (Color D)
Aquarius Alpaca Silk Dk 230 yards (Color E) (I barely had enough yarn for this, so if your gauge is looser than mine, opt for a yarn with more yardage for Color E or get 2 skeins of this one.)
About This Shawl:
•While browsing through my yarn room one day, I spotted a few shades that seemed to be calling out to me. “Make us into something,” they whispered. And so I grabbed a hook and began crocheting, not sure of the end result. And lo and behold… this emerged. The colors resemble peacock plumage and the pattern and shape seemed like a happy little path…
•Intermediate to advanced level. You'll need to know how to work sc, dc, dtrc, trc, trc2tog and other basic crochet stitches.
•A great project for using up scrap yarn! Any dk or worsted weight will work and you can go crazy with your color choices.
•Although not shown, I think a fringe would be fantastic on the bottom of this, using all the yarn colors. OH!
•It was unintentional, but the purple section resembles little alien faces. So cute!
