The twisted Tweed sport yarn is wonderful and easy to knit.

I love this yarn. The color is beautiful. While knitting with Nougat it is so soft and does not hurt my fingers.

I was unsure as to purchasing this base because I didn’t know how the barber pole would look in person...the nougat colorway was a good starting point as the base is a creamy tone, so both strands look the same. The nips are exactly as described, not at all obtrusive, but enough to add interest and make the final project look like a tweed fabric. Unlike a couple other reviews, I am quite happy this base is not thicker. It seems thicker than other sport weights (because of the double twist and Marino wool). It is absolutely PERFECT for a medium weight sweater or, in my case, a more feminine version of the HENLEY style shirt that EVERYONE wore in the 90’s. It would be wonderful for a cardigan!....depending on needle/hook choice, you could really give it any level of warmth you wish! I’m now going to go order more skeins in other colors for the scarves I make the men in the family...VERY good way to give any guy a level of sophistication (whether he likes it or not).

The nought twisted sport is so nice. A great neutral yarn with specks of brown. I think it will work up beautifully.
