Notes from the Designer:

Each wave is an exploration into the unknown world, from darkest point of the unknown to the lightest reflecting discovery. The waves represent the finish line of realization, enlightenment to knowledge or achievement. In short, it represents perseverance in life regardless of the obstacles and pushing forward to the scary and unknown towards self-knowing and success.

  • The Adventurous Beginner Version shown used approximately 1,486 yds/1,359 m total: Color A: 211 yds/193 m, Color B: 637 yds/583 m, and Color C: 638 yds/583 m.
  • Refer to the Row Map for color change instructions for the Adventurous Beginner Version only.
  • This pattern uses US crochet terminology.
  • To increase the width of the pattern, chain in multiples of 14 + 1. Pattern as written is 6 reps of 14.
  • Break the yarn after each color change.
  • In Row 5, work the first two and last two hdc loosely. This is because you want the hdc to be the height of the sc in Row 4 and a bit higher. Please follow this throughout the pattern when you attach the yarn after skipping two hdc.
  • The notes for the Advanced Version can be found on page 12 of the pattern. Minimal instructions are provided, and NO pattern support will be offered for this version.
