My son (40 years old) loves this hat. And I loved making it. Simple, but with enough interest not to be boring. Thinking of making one for myself!

lovely pattern perfect for anyone and easy to do

I knit this toque for my nephew who just immigrated from the Cayman's to Canada. The pattern was very easy to follow and fit him perfectly. The only change i made was to reduce the number of cast on stitches. He is thrilled with his new hat...still adjusting to our winter weather!!

I was very intimidated by knitting a cable pattern, but this was very easy to follow with a quick YouTube tutorial for a couple of stitches I didn’t know. I knitted this flat and sewed it together and came out perfect! My boyfriend is a fan and now everyone in my family wants one. When he put it on, I thought, “I can’t believe I made this! Me!” Thanks for this pattern!

This is a fairly straight forward pattern which results in a very beautiful hat. I think I only repeated the cable 4 times though, instead of 5.

I was a bit overwhelmed by the lengthy instructions for the decreases, but they turned out easy enough to follow, even for a beginner. The resulting hat is pretty impressive.

Part of the EFA Winter "Alongs" I just love cables, they just make knitted items POP. This was an easy pattern to follow and Chandi has a great You Tube video on how to do cables without a cable needle.

Loved the knitting on this hat. My husband loves it. Going to make one for me also. Only mine will be more slouchy.
