Notes From the Designer:
The Kaveri River flows across southern India. As a major source of drinking water, irrigation, and electricity, this vital waterway spreads life throughout the land. The fast flowing currents turn from river to waterfall and back again, stretching nearly from coast to coast.
The Kaveri cowl uses a single six-stitch cable to form a series of cataracts along the channels of ribbing. With the cable worked on only six rounds throughout the cowl, this single, simple stitch makes a big impact over time — just like the river for which it was named.
- The ribbed/cabled material provides A LOT of stretch, allowing the cowl to flare around your collarbone. If you would like a wider cowl, cast on a multiple of 16, and follow the pattern instructions.
- A charted version of the pattern is provided on page 6.
