I used this to make the beginner sweater (class) on the website. Love how it feels knitted up, not too itchy like some wool can be. Wonderful to work with.

I made a 1950s' style sweater from this yarn, and it was a dream to work with! So buttery soft, and the colour is perfectly named. Looks almost good enough to eat! Excitingly, I have enough to make a matching hat! And for those concerned about itchiness, you won't find any here. I'm pretty sensitive to such things, and the sweater is a dream to wear. I only have two points of, let's say, caution for those considering using this particular colourway and base. One, the colour does tend to come off on the fingers whilst knitting (or, I imagine, crocheting) with it, but it does wash off with soap. On a related note, while it does bleed when being laundered, the colour is so rich that it isn't diminished noticeably, and I haven't noticed the colour coming off on anything else. Secondly, if gauge matters for your pattern and you intend to wash the item when finished, you should definitely wash and block it to obtain the correct gauge. I learned a bit too late (i.e., after finishing the sweater) that superwash marino wool tends to grow quite a bit in the process of washing it. Thankfully, my sweater didn't suffer too much from having a bit more ease (except perhaps the now super extra long sleeves :) ), but it's something to keep in mind if gauge is critical. Overall, highly recommend this base and colourway!
