Notes From the Designer:

Ciottolo is an Italian word for pebbles or cobblestone. The colors of the cardigan, as they fade into each other, and the brick stitch used throughout the garment reminds me of an old cobblestone road. This delightful cardigan is worked with CashSilk Sock yarn for an extra bit of warmth and luxury. Working stitches into the front loops and into rows below, like you would a spike stitch, provides beautiful surface texture. It is worked in panels and then seamed together before adding the sleeves, trim, and buttons.

Beautiful pattern!! The colourway sold it to me. I really want to get this right before I buy yarn. So been practising swatches. And really pleased how easy to follow it is (on the straight anyway) and you quickly fall into the rhythm without needing to refer to the pattern

Chandi! I’ve just downloaded this new pattern and I can’t figure out how you are able to read my mind!!! I have a feeling this project will jump the queue on my list. So lovely, and just what I’ve been looking for. I can’t wait to send pics, even if it will likely be next fall.
