Notes from the Designer:
Cestino is a shawl with a lovely basketweave pattern. Worked from the corner out, instead of the center, this shawl is made with simple stitches and increases. The stitch edges are slipped, rather than worked in garter stitch to make a more fluid look. With several repeated rows, this pattern is perfect for knitters who want to make a colorful, but easy shawl.
