US size ​​H/8 (5.0 mm) hook, or size need to obtain gauge

SKILL LEVEL:

Beginner: Perfect for the beginner crocheter who wants to explore simple color changes. This shawl uses five colors that change every few rows. The stitches are mostly half double crochet with a couple rows of single crochet. Some stitches are skipped to create an eyelet, which represents bubbles.

Notes from the Designer:

2026 marks my tenth anniversary as proud owner of Knitting Knicely. If anyone had told me over 30 years ago when I found my love for fiber arts as a young girl, that I would be designing my own knit and crochet patterns, I would have laughed in disbelief. But here I am, blessed beyond measure to be able to do what I love and support my family while doing it! This shawl is a celebration of the love and support I have always felt from such an amazing fiber art community!

• The sample shown used approximately 1,115 yds/1,020 m total: Color A: 226 yds/207 m, Color B: 221 yds/202 m, Color C: 221 yds/202 m, Color D: 221 yds/202 m, and Color E: 226 yds/207 m.
• First and last three stitches of each row are always half double crochet through the back loop only.
• Chain two at the end of each row does NOT count as a half double crochet.
• Colors may be worked in any order desired.
