Notes From the Designer:
•Brunnera blooms in the spring, producing bunches of lovely little blue/lavender flowers. It is an easy care plant, thriving in the shade and providing a bit of color and brightness to its surrounding environment.
•This shawl, like its namesake, does not require an excessive amount of attention. It would be a great option for a beginner knitter who is ready to expand his/her skills.
•Brunnera features long columns of stockinette and reverse stockinette, separated by narrow seed stitch borders.
•The Blossom yarn provides a sheen that creates a pretty effect when it catches the light.
•The color blocking is broken up with 2 bands that utilize the same stitches, but create blocks, rather than columns. A simple little flower-like lace pattern decorates alternating blocks.
•With 4 skeins, it should be possible to make one 14.5" x 68.75" wrap, two 10.5” x 59” scarves or three 6.5” x 62” scarves.
•Click the Videos tab for a demonstration on how to do the lace section!
