Intermediate: This pattern is for those who feel comfortable with knitting and have made a few projects, using various skills and techniques. Skills/concepts include working a top down triangular shawl pattern, reading a cable chart, and working cables with or without a cable needle. You will need to be able to read charts to knit this pattern.

Notes from the Designer:

Broady is a triangular shawlette or neckerchief. It is knitted from the top down starting with a garter stitch tab. Broady was named after a dear family friend who recently passed. She was vibrant, vivacious, hilarious, and just a rare gem.

I love cables and have recently completely ditched my stitch dictionaries and started enjoying creating my own cables. I sketch and draw incessantly. Broady is a compilation of texture and geometry in a small, manageable project.

  • The pattern begins with a Garter Stitch Tab.
  • Pattern increases by 4 stitches on each RS row.
  • To make the pattern larger, continue to work additional repeats until desired length is reached. Additional yarn will be needed if the size is increased.
