Notes From the Designer:
Querencia (kr-en-see-uh) is a place where you are most yourself, a place where you draw your inspiration or strength from. This pattern is a simple ripple pattern with a twist. It uses double and triple crochet along with a puff stitch. It combines lace, fingering, and sport weight yarn, which creates a unique and fun texture. This fun design can be a scarf, a king-size blanket, or anything in between. Just begin with a multiple of 12 plus 3 stitches to achieve the width you want, and continue the rows until you reach the desired length. Whatever you make, it will wrap you in warmth and coziness. May it provide a calming sense of peace and a space where you feel comforted and most like your true self.
- Click the Videos tab to watch a tutorial on how to work this pattern.
- The blanket can be made wider by chaining multiples of 12 + 3, but it may require additional yardage.
- The 2dctog and 3trtog are worked over 2 stitches, 2 times, covering a total of 4 stitches.
- Place a marker in the first and last stitch of the lace rows, as those stitches can be hard to find.
- This pattern can be made with any combination of lace, fingering, and sport weight yarns, so don’t be afraid to experiment.
