Notes from the Designer:
I chose the name Kalaheo because it is a Hawaiian name that means “proud day,” and that is exactly how I want every person who makes this garment to feel when they complete it. I decided to go with one main stitch for the tee because I loved the texture it created when turning in the round. I also added a picot style trim to the sleeves and bottom of the top. I hope you enjoy making Kalaheo as much as I enjoyed designing it!

- The original version of this pattern was made with our CashSilk Sock yarn in color Lavender Tea. The original version used 2, (3, 3, 4) 4, 5, 5, (6, 6) skeins (410 yds/375 m, 3.5 oz/200 g each) for a total of 750–2250 yds (686–2057 m) used.
- When working stitches, work into the front (top) loop only.
- Starting chain does not count as first stitch, unless stated otherwise within the pattern.
- Garment is worked from the top down with a circular yoke. The yoke is still turned each row to achieve the texture and straight seam down the back. Armholes are then created by skipping stitches and joining the front and back together.
- When working with hand-dyed yarns, it is strongly recommended to alternate skeins every couple of rows to avoid color pooling or noted differences in yarn.
