Items that have been lovingly handmade are passed down through the generations, and we often learn our craft from family members. My aunties, my grammas, and my mom all crocheted, knitted, or sewed, and they taught me how to do so, too. I think of them every time I do these crafts. Each stitch we make connects us to our loved ones in a very tactile way and keeps their memories alive. Our histories and stories intertwine with those we love. We are interwoven.
