Notes From the Designer:
Featuring the Susurrous Hues Kit in Pearlescent Worsted, Fall Gloaming evokes the twilight, the fading light in a misty woods, and the close of autumn as the transition to winter begins. Wet leaves carpet the ground underneath, as the few remaining leaves that have yet to fall chatter and rustle above. There among the dried bushes and briars is a hint of cranberry red, as the season’s few remaining berries cling to their branches.
Fall Gloaming is an asymmetrical triangle shawl that features a repetitive sequence of Knotted Openwork and Stockinette Stitch that alternates with Garter Stitch Ridges. The shawl is knitted flat, and the asymmetrical shape is achieved by decreasing one stitch at the start of all right-side rows and then also increasing two stitches at the end of the same row. The pattern sequence is knitted five times with each color substituted with another in every subsequent iteration.

- A simple, repeating pattern you'll fall in love with
- All RS rows begin with k1, k2tog and end with kfbf, k1, which adds one stitch every RS row.
- The pattern sequence is knitted five times, and in each subsequent iteration you’ll substitute one color with another. A table and schematic is included at the end of the pattern to be used as a visual reference to show how the colors change in each iteration.
- If you find that you're running short of C1, you could omit a few rows of the fifth Knotted Openwork section without it being too noticeable. If you're using the Susurrous Hues kit, you could also knit the last few rows of the fifth Knotted Openwork section in C2, which closely matches C1.

"This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls." - John Muir
