Notes from the Designer:

Introducing the versatile Play-A-Round Polo—elevate your sporty style with a garment designed for both performance and fashion. This polo is perfect for the golf course, the office, and casual outings. Whether you’re playing a round on the golf course or enjoying a day out in town, this shirt’s clever name reflects its dual purpose! The boxy, yet flowy shape ensures breathability and comfort on hot days, while the soft double edging on the hem, cuffs, and collar adds a cozy touch for cooler weather. The ribbing on the shoulders and sleeves not only enhances the style, but also provides the functionality needed for that perfect swing. You can even customize the body length to create your ideal polo for any occasion.

  • This pattern will be available on our website only for a limited time.
  • Read through the entire pattern before beginning to familiarize yourself with the steps in case Alternatives are preferred.
  • The pattern includes stitch explanations, an abbreviation key, tips and links to technique tutorials, alternatives to customize your sweater, and a schematic.
  • This sweater is knitted from the bottom up. The hem is first knitted flat before being joined to knit the body in the round. The sweater is split at the underarms to knit the front and back panels flat, which are then joined at the shoulders. Stitches are picked up at the neckline and armholes to work the collar and sleeves.
  • Knit a gauge swatch using US 7 (4.5 mm) needles in stockinette stitch in the round before starting for an accurate fit. Block swatch to accurately measure. Move up or down a needle size or change yarn if necessary. If you have too many sts in 4", increase your needle size. If you have too few sts in 4" decrease your needle size.
  • If using a different fiber for this top, keep in mind that the drape and fit may differ.
  • Try on the garment as you progress to ensure the fit is right.
  • To bind off loosely, move up a needle size or two.
  • Wet block the garment before wearing.
